Short Biography

Frederick W Daily III was an experienced tax attorney with over 50 years in the field.

Frederick W. Daily (Fred) was a nationally known tax lawyer, writer, and lecturer.

He graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 1968. He later received a tax law degree (LL.M.) at Golden Gate University in San Francisco where he also served on the tax faculty.

Fred authored several tax books, including “Stand Up to the IRS,” “Tax Savvy for Small Business,” and “Surviving an IRS Tax Audit.”

Stand Up the IRS — the definitive book on fighting the IRS — has been the best selling book of all time on dealing with the IRS.

Fred’s tax commentary has been utilized on TurboTax and licensed by Microsoft; his tax advice is posted on Quicken.com, Unclefed.com, and Nolo.com.

He gave tax programs for Enrolled Agents, CPAs, and even IRS Agents. Fred attended and provided data used in the 1998 Senate Finance Committee IRS hearings that resulted in a sweeping IRS reform act.

Fred was regularly quoted in publications including the New York Times, Maxim, U.S. News & World Report, Wall Street Journal, Time, Newsweek, Tax Hotline, Bottom Line, Redbook, Smart Money, and Money.

He also appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America, Fox’s Burden of Proof, CBS’s Street Stories, and hundreds of local and national radio programs including NPR’s Marketplace.

Fred helped thousands of clients worldwide with unfiled tax returns, large tax debts, IRS audits and appeals, and tax fraud and tax crimes.

Fred was a mentor to Bishop and taught him everything about aggressively representing clients in front of the IRS. This law firm was started by Fred and Bishop to carry of Fred’s legacy of helping clients Stand Up to the IRS.
